About Lavender Haus Massage and Lainee Copeland
 |
My husband Jason and I moved to Austin from Corpus Christi in the Spring of 1996 so I could attend Austin School of Massage Therapy. It was one of the best decisions I ever made.
I completed my classes and internship and received my license to practice massage therapy in January of 1997. My hope was to help people fight stress and avoid illness and injuries. In 1998 I was asked to come back to teach at Austin School of Massage Therapy. I enjoyed teaching Technique and Hydrotherapy for two semesters.
My business soon "bloomed" and I dedicated myself full time to my practice from 1999 until 2003 enjoying every minute of it right up until my first son's due date.
I have always been independent because a flexible schedule is important to me. Doing the type of massage I want and making sure my clients get the massage they want is also very important to me.

I have worked part time since the birth of my first son in 2003. I am now the mom of hree wonderful little boys who keep me on my toes! Recently we moved from Austin, Texas to Edmond, Oklahoma. This has brought quite a few changes to my business. Currently I am only available for massages outside of my home office.
Why "Lavender Haus"? I just love lavender! The relaxing properties, the trips I took to the nearby lavender farms around Austin with my mom and my first son. I hope to share the relaxation and spirit of lavender with all who enter my home studio.
Certifications
I received my certification in pre-natal, labor support and post partum massage in May / June of 2001. I trained under Kelly Lott an amazing RMT, MTI, Doula, and Certified Instructor in Plano, Texas.
I am also a certified Lypossage practitioner. I received this training in N.Y., N.Y. in 2002 from Charles W. Wiltsie III, LMT. To learn more about this type of therapy please visit lypossage.net.
